please explain to me why all the toys of my youth (the 80's and early 90's) had so many joints and big guns and transformed into all sorts of amazing stuff, but in then suddenty the trend turned to less articulated designs and far softer characters. i was furious when the action figures suddenly couldn't do much more than a windmill with their arms.
