i'm only entering an MLS program this year, but here's how i found out about it.
i love biology, but i didn't want to get a bachelors in bio, biochem, microbio etc because the employment prospects are awful. med school would take too long, and i wasn't interested in the patient contact that the other allied health professions entailed. i did a bit of research and found MLS... it seemed like a great fit for me, since it combines a lot of theoretical knowledge with practical applications, doesn't involve patient contact, and pays quite well (at least in ontario).
