This attitude is one that is extremely lacking in many of my generation.

Too many redditors do not understand that ANYONE can self-publish. So when one self-publishes, it isn't implying anything beyond that the writer has, in their eyes, finished their work and willing to pay someone to publish it.

I'm not saying that OP isn't talented, just that legitimate publishing houses and companies pay the author, not.vice-versa.

I wouldn't assume the women now asking you out are superficial, but rather normal human beings. You were literally twice the size you are now, and I wouldn't call someone superficial for denying your.advances. They just didn't find morbid obesity attractive in a mate, and lets be honest, hardly any do.

I think.being the only person with a certain condition would have some 'blessings', being that he is the only one, I would assume the top doctors in his field of treatment would want to work with and on him.

Anecdotal evidence: a friend of mine had an extremely rare form of cancer, that out of all cancer cases it had a 1:6.5mil ratio. Further exacerbating the rareness, it metasticised (sp? On phone) to his jaw bone, making it even more rare. He had horrible insurance, but due to the rarity, Northwestern covered all his expenses and he has multiple world renowned oncologists work with/on him.
