Question at the end after my short story.

Im not sure what kind of medical care you have access to, but I live in a western country and went to a GP who simply dismissed my concerns instantly saying things like their practice doesnt test that and there's no way someone my age can have such a thing (an idiotic thing to think for a majority of medical problems). I went back to another GP at the same practice who ordered the exact test I requested with no problems whatsoever, who was more than helpful with prescribing multiple medicines for me to try to see what worked best.

It took me a few months longer to get a diagnosis, a few months of feeling like crap, all because of a doctor that couldn't be bothered to do his job. I was pretty damn mad, I can imagine you were livid.

Question: Now that you know what the problem is, what are the next steps? Are there any available surgeries? Medicines? Is there any way for you to get more nutrients (calories, minerals or whatever) processed successfully by your body? What about rebuilding deteriorated muscles if you can absorb more food? I'm sure that also causes significant pain.

Anyway, thanks for sharing your story!

This is such a crazy story, it's so interesting / sad / happy to read.

How would you describe the feeling of being able to do something so naturally, like walking, and then suddenly not able to? Like when you were re-learning to walk did you know what you had to do but just couldn't? Or is there more to it?

I cant imagine the difficulties you've went through. There have been many times in my life that I've thought about what I would do if I lost my sight (or something else) and how I would cope. I honestly dont think I could cope if I went blind, and I almost think it would be worse to have sight and lose it than just being born blind (although that probably isnt true). But it would definitely affect me mentally.

So much respect for you, man! I can't imagine the feelings when you started to get your movement back!
