What are your thoughts on a non-American (I'm Canadian, for example) trusting their personally identifiable information with your company, by using your services?

For example, if you receive a National Security Letter (red letter) with a gag order, my PII is now compromised, and I'll never ever know about it.

Also, how can I be sure every time you're hacked, that you will a) know about it and b) disclose to me it happened.

The positive of Tech Shop is access to tools and machines you'll not have otherwise. The negative of Tech Shop is it's not cheap, in order to achieve the above. Classes can be +$200 for one session.

Recommending security tools for dissidents should not be followed by a debate/"rabbit hole of whether they are safe or not". If they're not safe, it's irresponsible to recommend them. I recommend Washington Post start using rot13 for their whistleblowers, it's better than nothing, would be irresponsible, for example.
