I think I can answer that to some extent. For the many Israelis that see combat, Nepal and India are often visited as a spiritual retreat to heal ones soul. I had a cousin who served in the Israeli special forces and he spent three years in Nepal after the military to deal with what he experienced in the army.

As for why there is a "big trip after the army" in general, it is like a senior trip in the U.S. The last time you get to really leave everything behind and travel before you go to college and start to have responsibilities.

I loved Def Poetry Jam, especially how you were able to get great Hip Hop artists like Kanye West, MC Lyte and David Banner on the show. It was great to see these artists share their poetry in a different medium and environment than they usually do. Is there any hope for more Def Poetry Jam, or anything similar, from you in the future?

Because the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is incredibly political, so many people who have a vested interest in it would like to smear and misrepresent the other side?

Oh for sure, I just meant specifically Nepal is more travelled to for the "spiritual tourism" aspect which combat veterans often have more of a need for.
