So ELI5, why is massage essential? I've had a few, but never felt that motivated to go all the time. EDIT: Thanks for all the interesting and thought-provoking replies!

One thing I like about Suzanne is that she has obviously learned skills to tell when things are going off the rails and uses them to calm herself down. By extension, we know her parents were accepting of her and did their best. It still didn't keep her out of jail or solve her problem, but it continues to help.
