Hi, Mayor Walsh. Thank you for taking the time to do this AMA.
Bicycles are currently prohibited on the MBTA during rush hour (7-9 AM and 4-6 PM), when many residents, especially those on the Blue Line in East Boston, need them most. Is there any possibility of opening up the first or last car of each Blue Line train to accommodate bicycles? Especially while Gov Cent station is closed? Not only would it promote a healthy, active, bike-friendly lifestyle in Boston, it would also significantly reduce the commutes of many Eastie residents who must find a workaround for the next two years. Perhaps as a source of revenue, Hubway or similar could sponsor ad placements, in the first or last car, similar to the Icelandair ad placements?
Many are excited to note that there is new housing being developed in East Boston, with the Portside at the Pier project. However, a recent Globe article reported that studio pricing will be $1,900 and a two-bedroom unit will be $3,300, putting these apartments firmly out of the reach of many of East Boston's residents (and much of the middle-class altogether). The average 02128 median family income is $49.5K; a year of rent in a Portside two-bedroom would cost $39.6K (or 80% of income).
Is there any concern that current residents will be priced out of one of the last few affordable neighborhoods in Boston metro? Are there any further plans for BRA-funded or affordable East Boston housing? I'd be interested in knowing of your administration's plans for East Boston development in general.
TL;DR: Bikes pls and help me, I'm poor.
Thank you again for your time, Mayor. I look forward to your answers.

Hi! Copy editor here. Do the opinion and editorial pieces see the copy desk, like other pieces of content that go through the NYT newsroom? Or do they have a different copy flow?

Hi Adam Scott. You played a character in several episodes of Boy Meets World, which, as I'm sure you know, taught young Americans about the dangers of joining cults. Don't think we've forgotten about your role as Griff, teen bully.
Would you reprise your role in the remake?
