How do you guys build the engines to take that kind of abuse for so long?

Do you guys set the gauges up like Nascar for all of them to point up, so a quick glance is all that's needed to know if something isn't right? Thanks for the reply and good luck.

How do you prevent string slap? I've tried so many different things and stances but my forearm is always black and blue after I shoot every time.
