Do you know why Americans (and only Americans) are not allowed to leave the country by train? (Assuming that rule is still in force.)

Simon ran my trip in June 2011, and as he says, you don't get to keep the visa.

I can tell you that our guide was very interested in seeing pictures from the "outside world". She even asked if we had any photos from South Korea. I think the guides know that the DPRK isn't the paradise the propaganda tells them it is.
