Do you think that there is something to be said for not eating meat because meat is the flesh of another being, and by using animals for our own purposes we are intentionally and culturally creating an "other" which we feel entitled to take advantage of for such, honestly, petty reasons as "it tastes good"? Creating this "other" allows us to better ignore suffering, especially suffering we cannot see? And if we watch the animals be slaughtered but eat them anyway, suffering we can see? I have read your book and loved it, btw. Since reading it, however, I have thought critically about these issues and would like your opinion.

Thank you for what you do! I helped you guys hand out leaflets a year and a half ago. I was vegetarian at the time, but talking to you guys helped me solidify my ethics and be a vegan. I am now involved in the Animal Rights movement. You guys are great!
