Is it true that, due to "Hollywood accounting", you essentially made no money from My Big Fat Greek Wedding?

I used to work with a very tall ex-Air force guy. He said that in an ejection the canopy is supposed to be blown off. If this doesn't work there is a tool on the back of the seat that is supposed to break the canopy during the ejection. He said that unfortunately his head was higher than the point of the tool.
