Keep in mind, it's only been 1400 years and the Quran is already difficult for modern speakers to read. It's written in classical Arabic, which is not to be mistaken for Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) that's taught in schools. That's why there can be wild interpretation for some words, particularly since back then, there were no diacritical marks to denote vowels, so you'd have to know what the permutation of the word meant in the context of the sentence.

I imagine in another 1400 years, Arabic speakers will either struggle to read it, or not be able to at all.

But who knows? I'm not a linguist or an anthropologist.
