There hasn't been a huge lawsuit because according to both users the locations they dined at made it abundantly clear that the plate was 450 degrees. If you're repeatedly told something is hot and you still manage to act carelessly and injure yourself you're not winning any court cases.

Yeah I was in the same boat. I would make 100$ a night (best night was around $300) at a chain restaurant where the appetizers were half price after 9pm. However we both probably have to run an 8-12 table section where the Ruth's Chris server probably runs 4-6. It's just different styles of service for a different atmosphere.

It's pretty average. I worked at a chain bar and made around the same (highest night was 300$ not 800$ though). I know a few women who work as bottle service girls at restaurants in major cities who actually think they had a fucked up night if they make less than 200$ in tips on a four hour shift.
