This implies a very large amount of work in a small time-frame with limited trade negotiators. Assuming the EU does not budge on free market access being contingent on free movement of people, would the UK adopting the EEA agreement as a ´stop-gap´ measure ( whilst trying to placate the British public on the immigration issue) allow them more time, or would this simply be ´kicking the can down the road´?

Would it be fair to say that unless the UK embraces the Norwegian trade agreement, that any bespoke non standard agreement between the UK and EU will also take considerable time to negotiate and will in turn prolong any trade agreement process with any other country ?
