How many of the rebel fighters are not actually Syrians (estimation, of course)? Does it seem to be the case that many outside groups are appropriating the rebels' fight for their own ends?

Thank you Zeina! There seems to be so much misinformation orbiting this question.

I had to explain to my co-workers how Kim Jong-il was not a football player.

This seems to be true about virtually all Chinese people I know who decided to go abroad for graduate school-- and some others who are well-educated!

But from a conversation I had this evening I think, for the most part, the largest portion of the Chinese population is very used to having a controlling force in their lives (i.e. the CCP) and are only subjected to CCP propaganda without any other sources of news. Nationalism tends to be strong in these parts of the population (the larger group).

Still, I think that mentalities and ideologies do change and adapt over time!
