OP is saying they're slaves because they aren't given normal breaks to rest, or even breaks to go to the bathroom in a civilized manner. That is illegal. It has nothing to do with income but the conditions in which they have to work. You don't understand that?

Perhaps saying they "aren't allowed" bathroom breaks wasn't the best way to word it. The standards expected of them are so high that if they take bathroom breaks then their productivity will fall beyond the required metrics and they lose their jobs, which effectively is the same thing as them not getting bathroom breaks. We can be pedantic if you prefer that though.

How did you get in trouble both times?

I was talking specifically about the two you mentioned. The one before you moved to California and the one after you started fanzine. I'm most interested in legal troubles to be honest. I've had some of those as well.
