Why is there so much disinformation abound with ebola? I can understand why in the developing world such as Sierra Leone, but am baffled by it's prevalence in the US. Is there anything we can do to educate the masses?

If you were to reboot what is considered the most popular of the Evil Dead movies: Army of Darkness, (at least by my opinion and popular cultures opinion) would you keep the stop animation and other low-fi special effects? IMHO those special effects add to the feel of the movie and make it more memorable. If not how would you constrain the use of CGI to keep the original feel of said reboot?
