How do you let your psychologist know you won’t be returning for therapy? Is it impolite to just not return. It’s only been one session and I felt the fit wasn’t good

It’s easier to be a therapist than a psychologist. I’m a psychology grad student, it’s extremely difficult to become a psychologist where I live. Therapist isn’t the same as psychologist.
