[Not OP] statistically speaking shooting stopped by a armed citizen generally avoid being considered "a mass shooting" as the body count is less than four. When cops have to stop a shooting, the body count averages more than 14.

Food for thought, cc saves lives.

You want "universal background checks"? We want national cc reciprocity and the repeal of the Hughes amendment to fopa. Also, suppressors/sbr's/SBS's/dd's either on no stamp or a $5 stamp with a maximum one week wait time.

There is no such thing as a "registered" gun in most places and under most circumstances. The exceptions are if the firearm in question is an NFA device or if the owner is unlucky enough to live in a terrible state. (I think it's less than 5 states of 50)

How much hate mail do you get? Judging by some of the posts here, I imagine it's a lot.

How do you justify passing laws that won't stop 99.9% of crimes, but will burden the average citizen and chip away at rights (as well as provide a jumping off point to eliminate fundamental rights)?

Why does being a victim of a madman make your opinion weigh more on a topic where clearly millions of Americans are being ignored?

Have you seen the stat released by the justice department that north of two thirds of all guns used in crimes are obtained through means which would not every be effected by legislative nonsense?

How would you begin to enforce a law that millions will disagree with, not comply too, and continue the transaction of private property (of which there are ~300,000,000 cases) without government interference? As of right now, only a small percentage of firearms are part of any registry, the creation of a national registry is a non-starter, and our justice department doesn't prosecute really anyone caught trying to buy a gun wrongfully.
