If you were visiting the city of Denver, lets say this weekend, where would visit to get your paleontology itch scratched?

Obviously asking for a friend, a stranger really.

Speaking from my parents experience.

Occasional outages were not uncommon. But it was rarely more than a day or two.

After a big storm, it could take a week or two.

But frankly, living in Upstate NY, and visiting PR often, I don't think the electric infrastructure is that much better in the Northeast. We're lucky because we don't get storms that size over here, and we have easy access to resources since we're not isolated, and that's the biggest difference.

Part of the problem is that there are barriers in place that prevent PR and other territories from achieving true economic growth.

Some barriers are because of geography, small islands don't have diversity of opportunities; others are political, like the Jones Act, and apparently the new Republican Tax Plan.
