The Toph vs Gaara fight was so goddamm annoying to me. FFS Gaara's a beast in his element! (heck, sometimes literally!)

It seems like a lot of the deeper adult games are on patreon, which is a pretty good way for an developer to start up on their own. And if you're lucky and appeal to a niche within, you can really bring in the money. (Emphasis on if you get lucky)

A lot of these games are still in active development, so it's very much something that gets better with time. Well, if patreon doesn't change it's rules again...

Dark Souls is my favorite fantasy game on it's dreary forboding atmosphere alone. The challenging yet rewarding gameplay is the cherry on top. Bloodborne's even better with how it blends dark fantasy with gothic and lovecraftian horror. It also has the creepiest boss design I've seen in any game.

And while it's adapted from a book, the Witcher series has to be some of the more original fantasy AAA franchises in a while. New takes on classic Tolkien fantasy combined with other European mythologies to create some...interesting new ideas.

If MMO's are up to your speed, the Secret World oozes atmosphere! A fantasy kitchen sink setting where every myth and legend is true. Gameplay is a bit tedious, but I'm all in it for the world.
