I went to Germany as part of a foreign exchange program when I was 16. My host student lived in a large old townhouse with his family, his grandparents had a first floor apartment to themselves. One day I had a chat with his grandfather, who patiently conversed with me (and my limited German) for about 10 minutes, then he abruptly switched to near-perfect English and talked about his time serving under Rommel in Egypt. He was captured by the British at El-Alamain, and said that he was treated very well by his captors. He was very candid about it, and as a history buff, I was completely blown away by the experience to hear from someone on the other side of the conflict.

Have you ever kicked anyone off the bus? I'm American, ride the bus fairly often, and I've seen this several times. Always hilarious.
