As you say, this is the first time in 40 years that junior doctors have gone on strike. Have you spoken to any more senior consultants who were junior doctors during that time to get their view on the proposed changes? What kind of solidarity are you finding from the older guard so to speak, who have completed all their training long ago and earned their full pay?

When you consider that the starting salary for a junior doctor is a shade below the national average salary across all professions (fully trained) does it still sadden you?

I think I'm quite ignorant to this. Is Finland actively fighting or supporting any other armies at the moment? Finland always struck me as a relatively peaceful country, acting more in defence than as an aggressor, so what exactly are you objecting to?

I would add that as a resident of the UK, which does actively participate in wars around the globe (that we arguably shouldn't be anywhere near) I would have refused compulsory service too if we had it here.

How much of a pain in the arse are commercialy available fly-at-home drones?

Are they as big a problem as Mr TV News would have us believe?

If you're that keen, a better option would be to speak to the shelter involved to find out their reserving & rehoming process. Most responsible shelters will make sure you are 'right' for a dog before agreeing the adoption
