PB: Machida-san, when devising the story plan for Penny Blood- what kinds of lessons from the storyboarding of Shadow Hearts and Covenant did you bring into the process? Can we expect to see a similar mix of dark themes with levity to off-set and bring out the characters, or will we be seeing a more gritty kind of feeling?

AF: Hiroki-san, Wild ARMS has long been a series about the preservation of hope against despair and chasing freedom while discovering yourself- something I've loved very dearly- what kinds of themes are you looking to explore with the setting and characters of Armed Fantasia?

When writing Yuri, the Valentine Siblings, and Gipetto- you could definitely see the balance of comedic traits to offset the dark tone of their personal stories. I loved seeing the sort of 'roll with it' reactions the teams in SH and Covenant had to some moments, particularly around the meetings with Cardinal Albert Simon and in covenant, the Sword Saints. I hope you're able to realize your vision for balance and bring us laughs and drama both in the same excellent ways!

Between the bittersweet hopefulness of 3, the clash of adulthood and childhood of 4, and the sense of inescapable fate of 5 I very much look forward to seeing what kind of tone the game grows to have! I personally would love to see something hopeful grow from the wasteland, as the end of 3 showed, but I eagerly await your vision!
