It really takes time to get there - an AMA won't do it. My bro is quad and 5 years later still taking steps to better mental health. It takes time and a great support system. /u/ieatchicken242 don't give up on him even if he pushes you away.

Have you had to deal with any stalkers?

Just walk by like they aren't there. Stop and talk if you would normally but you don't need to everytime! What sucks the most for me is we moved to a new office and it has a wave shaped all between us and the front door. Im at the low point of the wall so all couriers, guests etc... come to me even though I'm not a receptionist! I'll also be the first one shot if anybody ever comes in to kill us. Sigh.
