Morals? As an artist and a gallery owner that represents about 10 different artists 40% isn't about morals, it's about staying in business. The art that I put on the walls has to be liked by me and it has to pay for itself on the walls. There is a ton of overhead involved in running a gallery that is for real. That the OP has found a way with some friends to make it more of a cooperative effort is awesome. It does not mean that a gallery that charges a 40 or even 50 % commission is immoral. Just to cover the overhead of a single employee working a 40 hour week take 2K to 3K per month or more depending on your market. If you pay someone crap wages then you will get crap results. So at 20% going to the gallery the nut to cover just wages becomes over 10K per month gross. Add in that much for rent and you have another 10K or lets say they have a great deal for $1,000 per month then that is 5K. And that is before business licenses, accounting fees, credit card processing fees, office supplies, fixtures, paint, phone lines, repairs, electrical……..it just goes on and on.

Wow this is cool. I live in the mountains of Idaho but through knowing someone who liked my voice and was part of the hiring process I almost did some work for a major insurance company. I can't stand my voice to be honest but I do great accents and have lived all over the world so it doesn't seem hard to me. I have also dome some narration on a documentary and DJ'ed a bit. This gives me hope to try some more.
Thanks. I will read some more now.

Have you had any really negative or scary things happen yet?
For reference - I met my wife when she walked from Seattle to Delaware ( Cape Henlopen) and she stuck mostly to the ADT after Colorado. I met her in Idaho and went out on the trail to find her and walk with her four different times. In a very rural part of the state just east of you someone saw our tent (behind a church and with permission of the pastor) and went and found a dead possum to throw at the tent. That was a rough night. What's your worst?

I just want to say good for you for not letting the hype of of how 'cool' it is to be an actor rule your life. I look forward to reading what you have written. In my work in the mountains in a resort known for skiing and outdoor recreation I have been involved with quite a few celebrities and many actors. They are not all happy. You look and sound happy and at peace.

And what was that favorite band?
Curious. Music heals and I hope you continue on your journey to full recovery.
