Thank you Jenn_Lim; the idea of purpose really resonates. It is challenging because often there are so many wonderful colleagues who are also strong individual contributors but leadership that is disconnected (untimely, not present, not looking long term at its people).
I have found it especially challenging to work for an employer who believes in the long-term growth of the individual (against the fear of losing this employee to the new skillsets they’ve gained). Money and benefits alone have not been the ultimate draw to me. No wonder many of us feel like some of our best parts of our career are when we were learning the most with a qualitative feeling that we were making a difference towards a common goal “a great culture”.

What general advice would you offer to an employer who wanted to form better culture? What are some of root causes companies see due to relatively short tenure compared to industry peers?
Thank you in advance!
