Yup. It was banned in my house the day I watched it. The kids were touched. I was heartbroken.

My kids thought my reaction was so deep they found a plush toy that looked just like Seymour and gave it to me for my birthday. I still have it.

Does your church differentiate between 'active' homosexuality and celibate? Mine does. We have openly gay pastors, but they must remain celibate and not enter into relationships.

It's a terrible policy.

A friend at work has been raving about ChatGPT since she discovered it a few weeks ago. She’s using it for all sorts of stuff, and in some respects the quality of her work is going down as a result.

That said, I realised the other day that the email she sends from her work computer has suddenly improved, and by a lot. Stuff she sends from her phone is… somewhat lacking in basic English. She does have issues with literacy, but she’s otherwise good at her job.

Turns out she’s been getting AI to proofread her work before she sends it, and her communication is much better as a result. Part of me is a bit suspicious of the whole thing, but I can’t deny it’s made things smoother in our workplace.

The vast majority of Mormon missionaries are homesick kids who are in an adventure that they have to succeed on. There's lots of pressure to do well, and being away from home (even when they're hosted by other Mormons) gives them a chance to do some questioning. Not necessarily questioning their religion, but life in general.

That's a fair bit to deal with. We make a point of inviting them in for a beverage of their choice. It's not our place to make their world any harder.

Given that this is a fairly unremarkable claim being made by what appears to be an expert in the field, I’d suggest that your claim is the novel one.

Can you provide studies to back your claim?
