You had greater self control than I think I would have had in that situation. I hold the firm belief that if someone tries to kill me, that their life in that instant is forfeit. I would have made sure that he was never going to come after me again.

You, however, took stock of your surroundings and kept the collateral damage to a bare minimum. For that, I applaud your self restraint.
