Oh, man, I'm so sorry about what you went through. I work in the mental health field, and there's so many stories of individuals who've been harmed by programs attempting to "fix" someone. I simply cannot fathom what you went through simply because you were gay.

My questions are thus,

  • What are your thoughts on a religion as a whole now? What were your thoughts on religion prior to your experience?

  • Did you ever consider trying to escape to a US consulate? If not, what efforts did they use to keep you "in place"?

This is a multipart question, so forgive me.

Now, I have heard rumors that many diamond companies own large scale vaults filled with diamonds. So much so that if they were released into the market the diamond industry would collapse. So, if this is the case, why do many companys still continue mining operations, it seems like it defeats the whole purpose? Also, what initiatives are out there to stop the blood diamond trade? And, how can we know the diamonds we own/plan to buy aren't "blood diamonds"?
