You're correct... I don't care enough to try to convince you. That's why I didn't just start firing off about what was causing the red flags for me. And I actually don't think it was an advertisement for Shanghai. In hindsight, it really doesn't matter if he was legit or not anyway. He was either legit and covered by a lock-tight NDA PLUS posting from a Disney network (which means we wouldn't see anything other than superficial info), or he wasn't legit (which means we wouldn't see anything other than superficial info). What I forget is to many (most?) people, that doesn't matter. They're interested in what someone like this has to say on a different level, and something like this is great for them.

Lauren! I'm probably too late for you to see this, but this is the one shot I've got to get this off my chest. I've GOT to apologize to you.
I sat next to you at the movie premiere for Pirates of the Caribbean a number of years ago. My wife and I had had a few drinks beforehand, so I was feeling no pain. Once we all got seated, I noticed I was sitting right next to you, and you had your kid with you. If you remember, they gave us all drinks and popcorn and cotton candy and so forth for during the show. We had made a little small talk and you were plenty kind.
I wasn't going to eat my cotton candy, so totally just trying to be nice to you and your kid, I said "Would your DAUGHTER like my cotton candy? I'm not going to eat it". To which I got a cold stare from you and a reply of "My SON doesn't need it, he's had plenty".
It was dark, and I had a pretty decent buzz going on, and if you recall he had on a really elaborate pirate costume... WITH A VERY ELABORATE WIG. To that point, it made me think that HE was a SHE.
Talk about your uncomfortable 2 1/2 hours after that. It's funny... To this day when I talk to anyone about attending that premiere, I have to tell them the story of how I offended you by calling your boy a girl. It was just a mistake, but it was also a HUGE regret.
So... I never thought I'd get the chance to apologize... And then here you are. Sorry if I offended you that night... It was an honest mistake.
It would be awfully cool if you actually read this, and even cooler if you responded.
And it says there has to be a question since it's an AMA. So...
Am I forgiven?
