One thing I learned is every EA studio is completely different. Though EA is a big money hungry giant. It was very frustrating to work for them. But most of the contract QA at mine did a full year at least even if they were god awful. But alas projects didn't make enough money so it finally shut down. (But I'm shocked it took this long, about 10 years at least lol)

EASLC which actually is closing its doors now. But most of the full time QA people have been relocated to EARS or Sacramento. Those that I know who have been there for 4-5 years say it's just fine for QA in the industry. I have heard that baton rogue is awful though, but they are 'outsourced qa' not sure if EA actually owns them or not. But while I was there they were super incompetent. Only a few were good.

Worked for EA yet? I did a little QA there. If you show interest in management of any kind you easily move on up. But yeah generally if you want to stay a basic QA salary is hard to come by.
