How much blame to you place on the American Pain Society's "Pain as the 5th Vital Sign" campaign for contributing to the opioid epidemic? Do you think this campaign, which began at approximately the same time that Purdue began cramming Oxycontin down doctor's prescription pads, had just as much impact at the drug itself?

Hi Cheryl! I met you about a month ago when you came to speak to my company. You signed my copy of Wild, and I was so overwhelmed about meeting you that I could barely open my mouth to say hello. Wild touched me on so many levels. I just want to say thank you for giving so much of yourself to your readers through this book.

I've always my connection with nature to get back to myself, when I'm stressed or upset, I need to go to the woods. To be alone, to travel, to seek adventure, that is where I really feel the most "me". I've always been a hiker and would love to do a through hike on the Superior Hiking Trail one day - would you join me? :) But seriously, in what ways do you keep yourself "wild", that is, how do you stay in touch with your true self when your life becomes hectic?
