What kinds of "hoops" would said crazy have to jump through? Here in Chicago, there are waiting periods, background checks, permits, fees, a long wait to get a FOID (firearm owner's ID) card, numerous classes if you want to actually conceal and carry the gun, etc. Are there more hoops in Australia? Because even with all these hoops, Chicago has had 516 gun murders this year and 2471 shootings with injuries, including 6 murders and 33 victims shot but only wounded - this week alone (and it's only Thursday).

We had a dog who would stash as well. His hiding place was under the couch, and he'd put things there for years. I knew it was getting serious the time I found a dollar bill, a pack of cigarettes, and a lighter under there. I still wonder what he had planned.
