I have this too! How has it affected your life?

I know it can be rough, but the prognosis tends to be good! I missed two years of high school while my doctor adjusted beta blockers and blood pressure meds to alleviate the symptoms. But I am about to graduate college after this semester and am heading to grad school to be a nurse practitioner. I still take beta blockers for the tachycardia, but the symptoms have mostly subsided and can be managed.

If you ever need to talk, feel free to PM me.

This is not always true. Suboxone prevents you from feeling the full " high". It may block some of the symptoms of the drug abuse, but it can also lead addicts to use more of their drug-of-choice and cause an overdose ( especially because you don't realize how much of the drug was used since your body does not respond as usual). Narcan really will reverse an overdose, however. But I highly recommend in the case of an overdose to seek medical attention for your friend immediately. Paramedics (at least in my state) carry Narcan, and or the most part it is a miracle drug that will reverse the overdose. Some states and even individual counties have immunity laws that protect the victim and the individual who called for medical assistance from any legal issues regarding the drug use.
