It seems different when you are choosing which categories you want filtered for your own eyes because you’ll have the ability to look behind the curtain if necessary. I like the idea of being able to mute all politics stories for a few hours and enjoy a personal mental health day. If it’s my own choice, I should be able to do that.

What you are suggesting sounds like an entirely different technology. From the sound of it, this company’s proposal would be like putting your hand over the picture and name of a mass shooter when you read the paper so you don’t see it. It ISN’T changing the paper for anyone but you or preventing the newspaper from running the story.
