You can learn Japanese kana in a day (albeit probably with more strain than korean, but if you put your mind to it it's far from difficult) but no matter which you read - Korean or all-kana Japanese (idk, from a pokemon game or something) you're not going to understand anything beyond (maybe) the transliterated english words in each language.
