I could be wrong about there being 3, I read something about milk allergies on the national allergy website forever ago, but there wasn't a lot of info. I will have to test the waters with goat and sheep milk!

Hey, I feel your pain. I am allergic to all nuts and milk too. Has an allergist been able to identify what the exact protein in milk you're allergic to? I've heard you can be allergic to one of three proteins in milk. Depending on the protein, cooking the milk, like in a cake for example, changes the structure of the protein so the body donsnt freak the fuck out when you come in contact with it.

Is this the case with you? I really only have milk reactions to plain old milk and a handful of cheeses or cream based sauces.

Also how do you take your coffee?

Yeah, same here. It's not a lactose thing. I hate not being able to get coffee with creamer anywhere because it sets off that itchy throat alert. And many places that offer non dairy offer almond milk. I should revisit soy but I found it in the past to be too thin . . . Maybe I should stop making my coffee the consistency of motor oil.

I can have the coffeemake creamers even through they have some kind of milk diritive in them. I'm assuming whatever is in them lacks the protein that gives me issues.

I'm just waiting for science to find a solution to this, allergies blow and theyre embarassing.

On the topic of epipens, horrible. However, there is another option for a different kind of "pen". I'm due for a refill (expiring epipen) in december, hopefully something is done by then. I heard they were going to rerelase the generic.
