Great insight. I'll add it to our product board for our website redesign and user test it. ⚡

Hey great question. You are right - we don't need your age or your gender. We are removing these two things in the next versions of our app.

Hey guys, I would love to chime in here. To be upfront we don’t have a peer-reviewed journal article. I posted this AMA as myself and the company is very excited for the work we are doing and the possibility of what the future holds. I may not have chosen the correct wording in some places, but the main point is that I am trying to let other people know what we are doing.

The grant was awarded on the basis of promising evidence and we’re expanding this into a peer-reviewed journal article over the course of the grant. We’ve presented our research to scientific peers at conferences but the paper will take a bit more time.

It seems like a lot of people seems in this thread that I’m dodging questions. The whole reason we are doing this AMA is announce the grant and the possibility of the technology. We can get really in depth in exactly what we have started and are trying to do, but I’ve tried to keep answers light as Kevin and I are overwhelmed by the response.

Hope this helps!

Thanks! We are learning everyday and found that a transition from atmospheric to piano is jarring. We do still have piano music in our explore section (which is still my favorite)

Thanks! We’ve actually just expanded our music team and are pumping out new music at a terrifying rate- but new tracks have to be checked for quality (only the best ones make it through). So I’d expect this new music to be available within a few months at the latest.

In case you aren't aware check out our explore section for our whole library.

Here is a brief description of our music-making process and how the AI is involved: Humans compose the musical content (the art: melodies, harmonies, chord progressions, sound design, instrument choices, etc.) Then, a patented algorithmic system (A.I.) arranges these motifs over long timescales, and adds the acoustic features which constitute our core technology (the science: modulation to alter brain activity, 3D spatialization, salience reduction, etc.).
