What do you think the likelyhood is that the human race will successfully ban the creation of robot armies that are capable of deciding for themselves what humans to kill, and what humans not to kill?

We know space is infinite. It's not empty, and therefor it never has been, nor will it ever be. Which leaves the conclusion that all things must exist.
