I never expected Robert Rodriguez answering questions about horror movies to be so cute.

I remember some time last year it felt like there was a month or so where "Crown on the Ground" and "Infinity Guitars" and other songs from Treats were in goddamn everything everywhere all the time.

I can remember that it felt weird as a fan from before that moment hearing those songs put into commercial contexts that I didn't associate them with, and it must have felt far stranger for you guys as the actual artists who made the songs in the first place. If I remember right, this period of time roughly corresponded with when you guys were working on Reign of Terror. I imagine it might have been a little weird working on new stuff when constantly being bombarded by your old stuff.

My question is for both of you guys, Alexis and Derek. Does the way that Treats grabbed peoples' attention ever make you nervous when you go back into the process of writing and recording? The "Sophomore Slump" is such a clichéd problem for bands with exciting and unique debuts that it's earned a sort of mythical status as an anxiety that young bands need to face. What was your experience with initial success in terms of how it affected the way you saw your work together and what advice would you have for newly successful bands?
