I actually went to a C with mine and they "settled" into a D. After breast reduction, the breast tissue seizes up and becomes very tight and gradually loosens over the course of 3-6 months. When I first woke up from surgery, I felt my boobs and they were like ROCKS. I was like "hell yeah, I'm going to have barbie boobs". So it's pretty standard to go surgically about 1/2 to a full cup size under where you will end up.

It's so crazy that this AMA should come up right now. My good friend passed away from Leukemia 2 1/2 years ago at the age of 28. She had received a bone marrow transplant from her brother but her body was too ill to keep fighting. I've had a life long phobia of needles. I had to get tested for mono when I was 23 and I had a panic attack and passed out. That was the last time I had to have a needle in my arm. Lately though I had been thinking about Micia and how I don't want her memory to fade away, even a little bit. I signed up to donate blood for the first time next Tuesday and I started looking at the bethedonor site but I was still very hesitant. Your AMA gave me the courage to start the process. If I can get matched, I want to donate. I can overcome my fears to help someone else. I'm so so so glad the girl you donated to is healthy now. You're a good, strong person and I just wanted to thank you for sharing this story. You've made a very real difference.

Hi Walter,

I run a junior high school book club through the Omaha Public Library (I'll actually be helping run the event when you are in Omaha next Tuesday!). I just wanted to thank you so much for all of your works. My book club kids have absolutely devoured everything I've thrown at them and you've inspired them to not just read more but find other ways to express themselves through writing and art. It's been a truly wonderful experience watching them love your books and I'm so excited to meet you in person!
