this is why Lonesome Dove turned out to be one of the greatest western movies of all time. even at a full six hours, there were entire sub plots that had to be cut. if you think about it, it's amazing that any movie manages to tell a tale worth watching in two hours that contains character development and plot payoffs.

What's the single most interesting aspect of Scottish culture in your opinion?

Have you spoken to the original detective's (the one who was so easily duped) commanding officer? That was SERIOUSLY negligent and lazy police work. If it were me, I think I would want to raise some hell on that count and taking it to the mayor's office. I guess I can also see myself not wanting more drama.
