I agree, however, one of the biggest impediments to people "fixing their problems" is the influence of large, multinational corporations in these fragile democracies. Companies like the Royal Dutch Shell Company come in pay off leaders, plunder money/resources, pollute the land, and do other generally shitty things. I bet if these companies operated in a legit fashion then people would be able to help themselves. Stop paying people off, stop buying elections, employ local workers, and stop polluting the enviroment! Don't mean to come off as hostile but I can't stand Shell.
