Most people see libertarians as deregulate everything and privatize everything absolutists. Do you personally feel that if we were to deregulate say the oil industry or the financial industry, there would not be significantly more oil spills/ accidents/ pollution and failed banks/ ripped off investors and homeowners etc.

What would you say to someone who is wary of libertarianism and its often times unanimous support for deregulation.
