Could I ask what qualifications you needed to teach there? What's the class hours, size, and age ranges? How are the students? What kind of salary might one expect if that's not too much to ask. I'm a ESL teacher as well and it sounds like an interesting experience. Cheers.

Seriously man what's wrong with you? Can't you have a little tact when asking a question. You have no idea what it's like to live there.

I'm American and many people could never imagine living in the States. They only hear about the horrible amount of gun violence and rapes on college campuses. The violence in the cities. My friend from Nepal wouldn't take his jacket off in a small town diner because he was terrified he'd be robbed.

I'm not saying that area doesn't have terrible problems but why don't you tactfully ask questions about safety instead of vulgarly spouting out your preconceptions?

Yeah like I said you can use tact or you can respond by saying "I don't know how to reply to stupid shit like this honestly". Classy.

She answered your questions by the way. She feels very safe. She thinks Kurds are the kindest and most generous people she met. In her current town she gets harassed less than when she lived in the States. I'm sure that doesn't play with you raping sex slave kidnapping narrative but I'm sure you know better than someone who lives there lol.

PS nobody thinks its lalala perfect happy land but it's best to politely check preconceptions about a place you haven't personally lived.

Thanks. I love teaching adults. 1 year of teaching adults. 5 1/2 years university experience. It certainly sounds interesting.

Ha I'm stereoblind as well (I prefer to say I have monocular vision). I was very cross-eyed as a child and that has corrected itself over the years but still no depth perception. I'm a little curious how your treatment works because, as far as I know, depth perception would have to be corrected in how your brain functions, not just your eyes.

It's fun to finally hear someone else talk about being afraid of flying objects, 33 years old and sports still suck. I lied to get my drivers license (You look into an eye piece and see a red dot and a blue dot) Me "Red" Tester: "No" Me "blue" Tester: "No" Me "purple?" Tester: "yup"

Hate driving to this day although motorcycles are much more comfortable to drive.
