What is it about the river that made you want to keep going after the raft experience, and the progress to a more sturdy boat?

People are often so inspired by the shantyboat that they want to give us a little something. It makes them happy and they say thank you by offering us help or foods. Makes my heart a glow!

The Sacramento was fun for fishing. We met a couple folks who taught me, and I caught my first striper and catfish!

We rely on local knowledge, some people say they only fish in certain areas because they know where the circulation is better, etc.. The Hudson of course has heavy PCB and so we fished above at the head of the river.
