I can totally see that. For me, why I couldn't support it financially, is it feels a bit like trying to help other people go on vacation. I personally will never be in a position to send myself or my family to Nepal, so I would have a hard time justifying giving money. The vast majority of people I know who could benefit from your project, (in the brain injury, Ataxia and mental health communities,) are living off disability or pension and would never be able to consider a trip like this. So maybe this contributes to a lack of support, Perhaps finding support through Canadian federal grants for recreation for people with disabilities? Do they have that kind of thing in Nepal? I wish you the best.

Dear Bishop thank you for doing this! I want to believe. I was a member of a Baptist church for a few years, And then was a head singer for a Catholic Church for many years afterwards. I love the ceremony; it's beautiful and ancient and I respect and love how folks there were so in love with their God. But! I very much disagree with so many of the actions and beleifs of Catholicism (as well as most christianity I've experienced). Where would I begin to turn my staunch disbelief into faith? How could I justify being a God believer, while there is a constant flow of hits to my moral framing?

I want to say hello, and my family has SCA1 also. We're on the West Coast. I am fishing for a question, but I am overwhelmed by emotion. Your project is fantastic. At first glance, without reading the website or gofundme, I was all skeptical, thinking this was just another grab by rich westerners. But your team is so impressive, you come from such an authentic place. I really admire your story and the stories of your team mates. This project is so great, for abling so many people, on so many levels, starting with giving yourself a job.
Now I have to think of a question. .. when you folks earn your first 10 million dollars, will you donate a million to SCA1 research? ;) thank you for doing your work.
