What was tried? I am a social worker working with a teen with Selective Mutism who is losing hope and struggling bad. She is currently on a stimulant and klonapin.

As she progresses try not to argue with her. Especially if the mistaken person or event makes her happy. It will do nothing but frustrate both of you. It would be like me trying to tell you that the sky is green. You know it is not and passionately believe you are right. Good luck and she is very lucky you care enough to move in with her. Also keep your eye out for support groups as caregiving can be very emotionally rough. (I was a caseworker for Senior Citizens for a few years)
